Finally someone has noticed what the real issue is. My "hats off to you". Its not about a TV station owning a newspaper so they can sell more tires...who cares? Its about the ability to "get in the game". If you cant get spectrum ...regardless of where it is....if you cant get distribution..period...no one can find you. The big guys dont have to physically prevent you from gaining distribution....they have lawyers who can do it faster, cheaper or more discreetly than they can. "lets just lobby" that idea away...ever take the time to understand who negotiated the royalty rights for Internet Radio? Would you believe it was Clear Channel? Check it out....look behind the effort and see whos name comes up over and over.....coincedence? You be the judge...Ever heard of a company called TimeDomain or a technology called ultra wide band www.timedomain.com .....could solve alot of frequency space problems...but guess what? They seem to have a very difficult time getting permission from the FCC to "get in the game" ...wonder why? I dont....the economics of programming are changing drastically and these big companies are being crushed by their own weight...protecting them now only serves to eliminate to potential for any new ones to emerge...plus it kills job creation...wonder it our Prez ever thought about that?
